The List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India

Friends, in order to secure the world cultural and natural heritage, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) makes the list of places as of special cultural or physical significance. The list is maintained by the international World Heritage Programme administered by the UNESCO world Heritage Committee, composed of 21 states' parties which are elected by their General Assembly. As of the year 2014, there are 1007 (779 cultural, 197 natural, and 31 mixed properties) sites named in this list. The latest entry from India is Great Himalayan National Park of Kullu in the year 2014. Below is the complete list of World Heritage Sites in India.
